Do You Know You Are Loved?

"The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins." (1 Peter 4:7-8, ESV)

Is it difficult for you to understand or maybe even accept how much your heavenly Father loves you? For many years I (Anna) felt I had to prove myself and be as perfect as I could for God to love me. I struggled with the fear of disappointing Him and with what He may ask of me if I completely surrendered to Him. Then the Holy Spirit began to help me understand what it means to be a child of the King and how much he loved me long before I deserved it. The truth is I can never do enough to deserve it and neither can you. This is what makes His grace so amazing! He chose to love us while we were still His enemies (Romans 5:8) and because He did that for us, we can love our enemies through the power of His Holy Spirit!

One of the resources that helped me meditate on the truth of how much God loves me was "You Are Beloved" by Bobby Schuller. In it he shares a 7 truths creed that I have hanging on my bathroom mirror. One of those truths that I say aloud daily is, "I am the beloved of God. It's who I am! No one can take that from me." Because I know I am not the only one who has struggled with understanding or believing how much God loves me, we would like to give you the chance to win this book and pray it will encourage you as much as it has us.
