Start Fresh This New Year: Set Goals, Seek God's Guidance, and Embrace Hope

A new year means a fresh start and that gives us hope! I (Anna) love to set new goals for the year ahead. How about you? There are many models you can follow, but I like using the 7 F's: Faith, Family, Friends, Fitness, Finances, Fun, and Future (which can be the place for your business goals if you have one.) What are some goals you have for this new year?

What does the Bible say about planning? Without counsel, plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed (Proverbs 15:22). There is a season for everything, and planning ahead is wise, but you must also be flexible to God's plans and timing (Ecclesiastes 3:1). People have many plans in their hearts, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails (Proverbs 19:21).

I am so grateful that God is the God of second chances. He renews and He restores! 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." And in Isaiah 43:19, "Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." The LORD will never leave you or forsake you. His plans for you are for good and not for evil, to give you a hope and a future! We are praying that this will be a year that you grow closer to God and learn to walk in the freedom and the promises that He has for you!
