"For it is by grace [God's remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgement and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God;" (Ephesians 2:8, AMP)
November is National Adoption Month and we celebrated on the podcast with a conversation between Gerald and Craig about the fullness of adoption and replaying a couple of our favorite adoption stories. First Adam and Alyssa's story of international adoption where they share ideas for fundraising along with the miracle God did to provide the thousands they needed to complete the adoption of their son from Korea. Second was Brooke and Mark's story of adopting a baby girl straight from the hospital and then discovering that Brooke was pregnant. They also talk about some of the struggles they are walking through with their adopted daughter's health. You can catch up on episodes and listen to your favorites here.
From the Team:
In December Craig and Gerald will discuss the gifts of the Spirit. Every believer is given at least one gift. "A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other." (1 Corinthians 12:7) You can find a spiritual gifts assessment here if you would like to know what your spiritual gifts are. Here are the top three gifts of each of our team members:
Gerald: Mercy, Giving, Service/Help
Craig: Exhortation/Mercy, Service/Help, Giving/Administration
Josh: Discernment, Faith, Evangelism
Charice: Service/Help, Mercy, Wisdom/Prophecy
Anna: Service/Help, Knowledge, Exhortation/Faith
Contest Corner:
We hope that you are enjoying this holiday season and have a Merry Christmas celebrating the greatest gift that any of us could ever receive, the gift of Jesus! We will be using our resources to help two families who recently suffered great loss, but we will be back with a fun contest in January! Thank you for being part of The Adopted Brothers Family!
